With only two weeks of the term left, we are fast approaching the spring break(Nursery will be closed from April 6th till April 17th 2014). Term 3 will start on April 20th 2014 and we are pleased to announce that Learning Ladder Nursery will be offering an exciting fun filled camp for the following dates:

Dear Parents,
Please note the following special events that will take place at Learning Ladder Nursery in JLT Dubai, during Term 2. Attached is also the overall plan that would be followed for the next three months:
· Fruit/Vegetable Salad: Thank you for sending in the fruits and vegetables on January 15th, 2014. The children loved learning about the different colours and textures and names of all the fruits and vegetables and also their nutritional and health benefits.
· Health Day: We would like to celebrate Health Day on January 27th, 2014 and the staff and children will be taking part in various activities involving various aspects of “Healthy Living” and we have invited a prominent health and nutrition consultant to come and have a chat with the children regarding the benefits of healthy eating and exercising.
· Small Mouths Program: On January 28th, 2014 Clair James Grisdale from Drs. Nicolas & Asp will be visiting Learning Ladder Nursery to conduct the Small Mouths program. Drs. Nicolas & Asp have been successfully running the small mouths program for thirteen years, and it was extremely popular with our children when they visited us last year. The program is conducted by Oral Health Educator Clair Grisdale who uses puppets, tooth models, and educational DVDs to capture the children’s attention. The children are shown a vital demonstration on the proper brushing, and flossing techniques and the importance of healthy eating and of brushing twice a day. The initiative is to empower our children for a brighter healthier smile in the years to come!
· Doctor’s Visit: We are pleased to inform you that Dr. Hussein from Armada Medical Center will be visiting Learning Ladder on February 6th, 2014 as part of our drive to ensure the health and well being of our children.

Learning Ladder Nursery in JLT was very busy in December. We celebrated national day and went a field trip to the zoo. Our trip to the zoo started with a bus ride which added to the excitement as quite a few children had never been on a bus before. We were able to see more animals than ever before, because they were out due to the cool weather. Some of our favorite zoo animals:
The male lion was one of the first animals we saw. He sat there lounging the whole time we watched. At times, he even turned to look at us. The children who had never seen a real lion before were amazed!
The reptile section is always a “must stop” for the children. Snakes are their favorites. Lots of “oohs” and “aahs” as we walked along the enclosures. The giraffes created much curiosity, the children in awe of the tall lanky animal!
After a busy morning at the zoo, the kids were tired and hungry and gobbled away their snacks on the bus headed back to nursery in Jumeirah lake towers.

We are excited to announce the launch of iQids Express – Music & Movement classes for Learning Ladder Nursery for children aged 1.5 – 4 years old!
iQids Express lays the ground work for fitness fundamentals: including balance and coordination, strength & flexibility, agility and endurance and most importantly – fun! iQids Express uses elements of baby yoga, zumba and combines classes with popular dance hits to get your little ones moving and grooving!
The class will take place every Wednesday from 12:30 – 1:00 pm and will continue for 5 weeks. The last class will take place on Wednesday June 19th, 2013.
The cost for this class is AED 220 (includes one time registration fee of AED 20) for the five weeks course. iQids will be taking registrations on Monday May 20th from 8:00 am to 9:30 am & 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Likewise, please feel free to drop off your payment at Learning Ladder reception if you are unable to make these timings.

We are pleased to announce that the Daisy and Blue Bells classes will be participating in their first ever sports morning! The event will take place as following:

The Blue Bells Class:
Thursday, 30th May from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The teachers and children are working hard and practicing a numbers of sports and activities that will take place on the day at the nursery. We would like to invite the parents to come and cheer for their child and their team.

We had such a wonderful time with the animals on Tuesday May 7th, 2013! The petting farm Posh Paws visited our nursery in JLT and was a huge hit with all the children! We had a lovely time feeding and petting the animals that included a dog, cat, rabbits, ducklings, hamsters, tortoise, snake, and a dancing parrot! We hope to have many more such educational events for our children to learn about nature in a such a fun way! We hope that all of you have enjoyed and liked the pictures on our FB page!

Dear Parents,
A very warm welcome to Term 3! Another exciting term has gone by and we are fast approaching the end of the year. We hope that everybody had a relaxing and wonderful break.
We would like to thank all the parents and staff for help us arrange so many exciting and fun opportunities for the children to learn. In February, we had our wonderful trip to Barsha Pond Park and then the colourful International Day with costumes and food from all over the world.
We started off March by launching a much awaited bus service to help facilitate the parents in the school run. Our transport service with a dedicated bus nanny on board caters to not only within JLT but to the neighbouring areas of Dubai Marina, The Gardens/Discovery Gardens, Greens, and Tecom. Please inquire at the nursery for the charges and timings.
On March 6th,2013 Learning Ladder Nursery had a visit from the renowned dentists Drs. Nicols and ASP to educate our children on the importance of dental hygiene from an early age. The children were given a vital demonstration on the use of proper brushing and flossing techniques, the importance of healthy eating, and of brushing at least twice a day. The initiative was to empower our children for a brighter healthier smile in the years to come! The children had a fun and exciting time while learning and you can enjoy the pictures on our face book page.
On March 21st, 2013 we all got together to celebrate the most important person in our lives. “Mother’s Day” was celebrated with children decorating cupcakes for their mommies and making a bouqet of presents for them. We all shared in the love and warmth the children shared with their mothers and as usual there are some lovely mommy-child photographs to enjoy on the Nursery facebook page.
