On Wednesday, November 11, 2015 we will celebrate Diwali at Learning Ladder Nursery. Diwali (or Deepavali, the “festival of lights”) is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated in autumn (northern hemisphere) every year. Diwali is the biggest and the brightest festival in India. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness and will be celebrated internally with a variety of decorations and arts and craft activities.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2015 we welcome our photographer and his team of Prêt-a-portrait to Learning Ladder Nursery to capture those big smiles for our classroom on Photo Day. All children are required to come dressed in their Learning Ladder Nursery uniform for the day. Please ensure on time arrival at the nursery as the photo session will start at 08:30 sharp.

Dress Up Day
We would like to invite all children and staff to come dressed up in a fancy dress of their choice on Thursday October 29, 2015. Certificates will be awarded for the most original costumes and we look forward to a fun filled and exciting experience for all.

The Circus comes to Learning Ladder Nursery
We will celebrate Circus Day here at Learning Ladder Nursery on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Our little stars can look forward to a fun filled day with exciting circus activities and a visit from a clown. After our eventful day they will enjoy a movie comfortably with their favorite blanket and pillow. Please send along a blanket and pillow to the nursery for this activity.

Welcome back from the Summer Holidays
We had a wonderful Summer Camp with lots of happy campers and fun filled activities. As with each new academic year, we look forward to see all our returning children back, refreshed after their summer break and to meet our new comers with their lovely parents!
We are very excited to start with our new academic year to engage our children in activities to achieve their developmental goals through play.
Remember, children learn best if they are happy and confident and every child is an individual who learns at their own pace. In the words of a famous Child Psychologist,
“Activities for the child from birth – six years maybe balanced between appreciation and involvement. Certainly important to appreciation are opportunities to explore”.
